Is it Really Fair, If So to Whom?

By: Ilona Waller (Little_personView Profile)

This question is something that many of our young girls of today must ask themselves. It is a heart-wrenching question for any who contemplate it. Some really don’t know what to do because of the lack of maturity that only comes from experience and age. Some young ladies are only 12 years old, and very confused and frightened.

Society asks, why would anyone want to kill the life of any developing human within themselves? Why would any doctor, nurse or any professional person, who took an oath to do everything in their power to save life, now want to take a life? Answering this question might make some very angry at me but I must write this for the sake of the unborn and for the benefit of a young girl facing such a choice. There are reasons why abortions are done everyday. One very main reason is selfishness either on the part of the parents and it might also be on the part of the expecting mother to be. Also they sometimes do not wish to take the responsibility for their choices and so now the unborn must pay the price for their bad actions.

Society feels in some cases it is better to avoid the consequences of the act and to take steps to conceal, rather then to talk about the problem of sexual intercourse and it being used as a pastime outside of marriage. Some want to enjoy sex fully, without taking responsibility of a natural consequence of sex, a baby! Abortion today is being used as form of birth control. This method of birth control is unfair to the unborn child and is just a plain sick method of shrugging ones responsibility and putting their own selfish desires before the life of the unborn. There is no respect for life in those who abort the innocent because they are addicted to the selfish desire of sexual pleasure then to show respect for life.

The Bible says: “In the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be lovers of themselves” and “lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God.” Is it not obvious that this condition prevails in our day?—2 Timothy 3:1-4.

Do you know that in the medical field and elsewhere the unborn baby is referred to as “the products of conception,” or what about “contents of the uterus.” Doctors who do abortion refer to the unborn as “contents of the uterus.” In the process of an abortion to make look less then killing, a doctor might ask the nurse, “Is the ‘content of the uterus’ completed?” How sad when an unborn human is not even referred to anything but “content.” These ones that commit such horrific acts against the unborn, try to avoid the moral issue by calling an abortion “termination of pregnancy.” No matter what doctors and abortion clinics and those who go to them try to avoid, the fact remains is this: Abortion is the killing of an unborn human.

Hello Jane Gunn, I guess it can exacerberate negative symptoms if it eas just a social issue. I believe for many it also involves a moral and ethical issues. I was born with Cerebral Palsy and my mother had the choice and she knew I had cerebral Palsy and instead of aborting me, she gave me up for adoption. Am I angry about that? No, I respect her for allowing me a chance to live and be a productive citzen in my community. True there are many reasons women get abortions, but the facts still remain that is no reason to abort a human life. No as to restricting any ones reproductive health obtions, I would never do that but I wil make sure that the health options of the unborn fetus gets the same chance to express their God given rights. Once a boy or girl or man or women has a choice when it comes to the life of another, the issue is not just a social issue but one that ivolves, moral and ethical issues and as to who should live and die, we need to leave that up to God.

Illona, I commend you for contributing to such an important issue and debate in our society, even though I don't agree with everything that you say. The issue is complex and shouldn't be thought of as a moral one. It is far too simplistic to suggest that abortions are being "used as a form of birth control." It is also far too idealistic to think that if abortion were illegal, that the result would be healthy children born into healthy situations. There are myriad reasons why women must make these hard choices in life, and to further restrict women's reproductive health options will not solve the problems of why women and girls have abortions, it will only exacerbate the negative symptoms of the social issue.

Hello Liz Monte, I have to agree with you that sex eduction is important and proper use of contraception when having sex. On the other hand, I must disagree that abortions are not selfish. Teens are without self control and lack respect for their own bodies and the life of the unborn. Why is that selfish? Because for the momentary sexual gratification, the unborn must pay the price of their wrong use of their body. No teen should have sex, and if they feel they are old enough to have sex, then deal with the consquences of their sexual act. If they can not, that is selfish, in todays world their is many women- who would love to have a baby and can't. You don't want the baby, fine, give birth and then let a caring and loving couple adopt that baby. What right does any child, teen or parent or anyone have to throw away another human being? Only a selfish person would do that and then try to rationalize it to the public. Just my humble opinion of right and wrong!

Hello April George, It is true there are unwanted children in all countries, but does the problem get solved by society making a choice over who gets to live and who does not, rather then society taking the responsibility for where the true problem is? Is the problem with the innocent unborn fetus because a young girl has an unwanted pregnancy? I am all for public health education and on sex, but what ever happened to what is right and what is wrong. No teenage child should have sex and then cover up their mistake by killing the consquences of their actions. You have sex, you might end up with a baby. Why not educate teens about self control and respect for their bodies and respect for life?

Hello Heather Glass, It is truly selfish in my humble opinion because and even though one may become pregnant without planning to have a child or even feel they are fit to to be or have the situation to be parents, I say it is selfish because there are two many other means in our technological world to prevent conception from taking place. As far as loving a child, how loving is an abortion? Those on the side of abortion claim that life does not begin at conception and yet do not present proof. Abortions seem to be justifying their actions by just by aiming, "No one knows when life begins." God does know. A Fetus is an organism. An individual form of life, such as a plant, animal, bacterium, protist, or fungus; a body made up of organs, organelles, or other parts that work together to carry on the various processes of life. If that organism was not alive it could not be refere to a process of life. One can not have life, from something that is not alive.
