I am not in any way prescribing medical cures for any ailment. This is a very soothing drink and it has always made me feel better. That wasn’t a pun! My cold and its symptoms soon dissipated and I had energy to boot.
I know my body well and can now identify the symptoms before getting a full-blown cold. I have a regimen for that. Just in case you’re wondering, gallons of water, mega doses of Vitamin C (3000 milligrams) and one of those OTC products for cold and flu. I’ll use Advil, Tylenol, and Aleve Cold and Flu medicine. Just one, not all!
I know you are aware; none of those OTC products should be taken while drinking alcoholic beverages. Neither should you drive or operate any machinery. You should also see your personal physician to address your medical needs. If you are taking prescription medications, pregnant or nursing, check with a pharmacist or healthcare professional to see if the small amount of alcohol in a hot toddy is safe or not.
If you only have a cold and all or some of the symptoms that usually accompany a cold, drink up, be merry, and feel better! Curl up in bed or on the couch and let your helper look after you. If you’re like me, your laptop, iPod, and several books are nearby.
Sip no more than two and you may call me in the morning.
