Practice Makes Perfect

Too good to be true. Yep. I knew it was too good to be true. It has been about a week, and no purging. Until tonight.

I know I know, I was so close to quitting cold turkey. And now I’ve screwed it up. But I’ve done so well!!! I can’t torture myself for doing it tonight. Just this once. I didn’t plan it, I didn’t want to do it when I realized that I was getting myself into it, but I still did, just like any other “night.” Although, I can’t allow this mess-up to get myself back into a rut of hellish behavior. I can’t, and I won’t. I know I won’t. Don’t let me. Be here for me. Like you all already have been.

Sorry this is so short, but I have nothing else to say tonight. I just wanted to be honest with you all. We make mistakes, but our mistakes are only failures if we give up. So don’t give up. Keep trying and we will all meet our goals. Just like I’m about to right now …

I really liked your story. This is the first time I found this website and just joined today. I am 36 and have been purging since I was 17, on and off. I was doing really good and just fell off the wagon for the past week. I am climbing back on again. I am waiting for the day when food won't occupy most of my thoughts.
