What is the Noise: Nourishing Thoughts

By: Jeanette Bronee, Path for Life (View Profile)

The chatter and discussions that we carry on with inside our head—not to mention our general self-battering—will bring us into a state of “noise.” A good daily practice is to keep letting go of these inner voices and understanding when they are helpful, such as intuition, and when they are causing us stress, such as negative messages. That is where our attention should be placed. Then the “noise” becomes messages for us instead.

Wow, I don’t feel the same way. We exhale what we inhale, good or bad, nothing new. We do actually have a choice whether or not we will intake any situation, what we will smoke, drink, swallow in conversation, and listen to etc... Then, it becomes a question whether or not we will pay attention to what we chose to intake. Crazy I am. Crows chirping, or rather hacking up noises is disturbing to my peace. My inner voices help me decide. What would I possibly do without my inner self’s wants that speak to me? I like my thoughts. I feel my thoughts are interesting.

wow I feel the same way... I hear things in my head all the time... but its mostly my own thoughts on things. I have a hard time focusing at work when Im in a mess up stairs ( in my mind) and there is someone in my face saying a bunch of crap about how they want their drink. I have to stop and say ok hold on I cannot think that fast. IM trying to meditate more ften now that I know How to. I reccomend it.
