- Will you get what you want or are you just hoping to get what you want?
- Ask yourself what it is that you really are looking for to feel less anxious. Comfort? Reassurance? Encouragement? Information?
- Who can you get that from? Which people provide you with the love, help, or inspiration needed to keep you moving towards who you want to be?
Once you identify what you need, see if you can reach out for (or provide for yourself), the healthy support you are seeking. After all, there is nothing wrong with wanting or needing a security blanket. You just want to make sure the material is of good quality.
