Can Anybody Help Me Out?

By: Samantha (View Profile)

Hi everyone, I’m new at this so please help me out? I am eighteen years old and I’ve got the rest of my senior year to go, but I’m having some social issues. Just last year I had a mental breakdown and ever since then I haven’t acted the same. I’m not as social as I used to be, I gained a lot of weight, and I am actually considering meeting this guy off the internet that lives close by just so I don’t feel as lonely.

My best friend goes to parties without me and barely talks to me anymore. I just don’t know what to do anymore. I’ve been working out so I lost six pounds which is definitely a boost, but how do I go back to living my life again? Everyone says, your senior year is the best year of your high school career, but it does not seem to be my best year at all. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Samantha, I only started on this site last week, but I'm still a newbie. I had a breakdown too when I was 21. I'm now 31 years old. I still have my days, but things do get better. I saw a therapist and helped a great deal. I would def. try to find someone you can speak with. In regards to "Senior Year is the Best"...my senior year wasn't so bad, but Junior year was the best. It's not going to be the same for everyone. I would def. not meet a guy from the internet especially in your state of mind. Sweety, take the time to get better. Deal with what caused your breakdown. As you start to get better mentally and physically, your social life will also reflect those changes. Mine did. If your close to your mom or dad, you might want to consider talking to them also. My mother was a lifesaver for me. Do things that make you better and healthier, mentally and physically. Take care of yourself and all will fall in to place. Even your social life. Take care Samantha.

HI SAMANTHA, Guess what today is my first day on this web site too. A friend told me about it. SAM,I was you i would still continue losing weight and i would join a gym to work out. About your mental breakdown i would talk to my pastor or my therapist and seek counceling with what happen to cause this in my lifeat such a youn age. I totaly disagree with meeting on the web i know you know there is more than we know about stangers and the reports we have heard abou web meeting. If this sounds old it is because i am now 50. i have a 15 yr old son who is a challenge to me maybe i can get advice from you about things. i hope i can encourage you along the way and dear talk to your parents too.
