Breaking The Enemy's Grip : Book Review

By: Angela Watkins (Little_personView Profile)

I am sharing tips from one of my 2004 book reviews.

Like Susan, many believers are being unnecessarily tormented, mentally, emotionally, and physically. You are to trust God, not people.

You can experience a peace that neither money nor medication can give you. This is a peace that comes only from Jesus, the Prince of Peace.

God created everything that exists for His own glory, including us. “Everything He does on earth is for His glory, and He commands that we also bring glory to Him.”

Slip and fall? Sure, we all do from time to time. But we don’t stay down! We get up, confess our sin, hold up our heads, and move forward with Christ.

We are to forgive because God commands it. If for no other reason, we should forgive others because God demands it.

When Eddie and his wife met Susan, she was being treated for depression in a psychiatric hospital in Houston.

After two weeks of counseling and therapy with few results, Susan’s doctor referred her to their church ministry. When she arrived by taxi, she was taken to a room where a team of loving godly women ministered to her in prayer.

Like Susan, many believers are being unnecessarily tormented, mentally, emotionally, and physically.

You are to trust God, not people.

Are you harboring unforgiveness toward anyone today? God is going to show you how to love them with your heart, bless them with your words, do good to them with your hands, and pray for them from your spirit!

No matter what past sins you’ve confessed that the enemy keeps throwing in your face - lying, anger, addiction, unforgiveness, stealing, abortion, drunkenness or anything else - you need to know that Jesus was standing at the window.

He witnessed the whole thing. He loves you. He has cleansed and forgiven you. He’s just wondering how long you’ll needlessly allow Satan to enslave you.

Forgiving others is crucial to our spiritual, emotional, mental and even our physical health.

Eddie Smith, and his wife, Alice, travel worldwide teaching on various themes related to prayer and discipleship.
