You must first find where you are in faith. That is much easier said than done. See, “faith” cannot be purchased at the supermarket! And, is it real faith you have? What, you say, are you questioning my faith? Nope, that’s not my job. However, your task is to find where you are in faith and your walk with it. You can look all day and night, up and down and turn over every rock in every nook, but will you find it? Will you?
We walk around saying that we have it, and do we? Let us just be real for a moment. We are human; we were made by the hand of God. He gives us gifts. Now do we use them? You are asking me, what does this have with faith? Ye of little faith. You have probably heard of mustard seed faith, but that came with sowing. Okay, now you have on your plate: 1. God made me, 2. God gave me gifts, 3. I must sow, 4. I must find out who and 5. Where am I on the faith scale. That’s a whole lot to unravel and you now might understand why I said you don’t buy it at the grocery store, nor is some faith real. Yes, you heard me. How do you know that it is real? If faith is real and you are sowing then God and his greatness will appear. If it turns out all wrong, then it was not faith. Period.
Remember Peter? What happened to him? Who was he? He always seemed to get it and then drop the ball. He wanted to have faith; we all want that, don’t we now? If you do not understand the story, go read it; the bible is very clear with his walk with Jesus and his many trials. Peter stands out the most to me—why? Because I have great faith and constantly lose it. Now if you have it, how do you lose it? Well, the woman with the entrusted coins did; have you heard that story? Gosh, she searched for that coin like me looking for my keys. She called in help—it reminds me of someone on crack looking all over the floor for more. I know that was a kick in your behind, huh? Told you I am not easy upon this subject.
