Having extensive experience as a hypnotherapist, I have alluded to (in previous articles) the myriad expressions of the soul: the accompanying fields of consciousness to the ego. The two most commonly known fields of consciousness or EEG periodicities are alpha and theta: trance and dreams respectively. There is also the less understood coma mind bandwidth and the even lesser understood (and by far the broadest) gamma EEG periodicity. Phenomenon peculiar to this bandwidth, are what shamans seek to understand and indeed, master.
While not at the fore of our consciousness during waking reality, we are nevertheless influenced by the four alternative fields of consciousness while still fully functioning in our “beta” or waking experience. Adding to life’s complexities, then, alternative “mind-tapes” represent parallel processes “running” in the other mind bandwidths, influencing to lesser or greater degrees mind and body processes. As I will explain later, lucid dreaming is just one technique demonstrating how alternative mind bandwidths, (along with specific ego processes) can be utilized as powerful manifestation tools.
We have gleaned from Kuan Yin in The Living Word of Kuan Yin that it is our responsibility to learn how to help ourselves, that we do, indeed create reality. That’s a potent statement, because, as we commence upon this journey to assist ourselves, we can’t help but assist others. That is the essence of this Eastern goddess of compassion’s “Love and Forgiveness Principle.” Immersed in such a process, we comprehend our connectedness with all beings: our ability to create our personal and group reality in accordance with the highest beliefs.
Contrary to certain teachings, we have not incarnated into these complex bodies to lose our individuality. Quite the contrary! As Kuan Yin’s myriad shape shifts teach, we are each totally unique and are here to learn how to further develop our uniqueness through the conscious directing of our innate creative force. Utilizing prayer, meditation, hypnosis and dream analysis we begin to explore the multidimensional aspects of ourselves. Indeed, there are those who suggest that learning to control ones dreams facilitates more control over ones waking reality.
