The evening continued and we told stories and had fun and then we retired to our tents, because we was going to get up early and take down our camp site and take the row boat out one last time.
When morning came we all got up, fixed breakfast, and cleaned up and started to take our tents down. As I was taking mine down, the park ranger and drove up to our site and Austin went up to them and they gave him a note.
He said, “Mom, it’s for you.” I read the note Call Your Sister, Family Emergency!!! I thought oh my, and seeing that my cell phone would not get out no signal. I remembered seeing the day before that the campers to the right of us had a cell phone that got out.
I went over to them and asked if “I may use their cell phone, family emergency.” They let me and I called my sister. It was what I feared. My sister said, “Barb, mom died this morning.” It took me so hard “Oh no, what happen.” I cried so hard, the kids try to console me but I was so tore up. I remember Jordan saying “YOU KNEW,OH MY GOD YOU KNEW!!!”
She told me that mom was getting worst for she had been sick and she had a doctor’s appointment Monday. Dad and my brother decided to take her to the hospital that Saturday eve, but she collapsed. They called 911 and they came and took her to the hospital. The last thing she said was “You said I don’t have to go to the doctor till Monday.”
After the funeral I had asked my dad when did this all go down. He told me Saturday Evening 6:30 or so. That’s when I told him about the butterfly story and I said if you don’t believe me ask the kids, they heard me.
I have had these feeling of things ever since I was a little girl but I never knew what it meant. I just knew when bad things was happening. I could feel when things were not right. I have had other things that has happened in my adult life, but sometimes it’s hard to tell others, because they might think you’re a nut. I have other stories but this one was the worst for me. It was my mom, who I miss very much. The one thing I do regret is that we wasn’t closer, I tried but she would not let you in. So, if you still have your folks make sure you let them know you LOVE THEM and TELL THEM, BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE!!!!!
