In 1996 I was told by 3 different doctors I had cirrhosis of the liver and my only hope was a liver transplant. I was told by 2 doctors in Birmingham I was so weak I wouldn't survive a transplant. I had to have fluid drawn from my stomach every week, sometimes twice a week to keep my stomach from busting open. I was in and out of the hospital for several months.
In August of 1996, I had my 45th birthday and the doctors said it would be my last. I was in a wheelchair for 9 months, had to have oxygen to be able to breathe. They told my husband to go ahead and get my funeral arrangements ready that it wouldn't be over 3 weeks. I had so many people praying for me. One night in the hospital the doctors said I wouldn't make it thru the night. Some people from a church came by and ask if I would like to be saved. I gave my heart and soul to God that night. From that night on I started to get better. In February of 1997 some friends of mine came by and took me to church. I had to take my wheelchair, but by then I was off oxygen.
I went to church 3 times, then the 4th time, I went without the wheelchair. Our preacher was preaching and he prayed for me and God spoke thru him and said he was going to finish healing me and I would be a marvel and wonder for men to look at. From that point on I just kept getting better and better. The doctors were amazed. After 2 years my regular doctor did blood work, he said it looked like a 20 year olds. My liver doctor said I was the only person he had treated for cirrhosis that had survived it. That was 10 years ago and I haven't had any problems with my liver. I had a ultrasound done last year just to see, and it was normal. When God does something he does a good job. With God all things are possible.
