God Is Always in Our Lives

By: Mary (Little_personView Profile)

God is always there for us, all of us. Every day he is just waiting for us to open the door or even crack a window and say hello. From a simple hello when we first wake up, to a simple prayer at the red light, God is always there.

He is there for those of us that are Christians and those that are still out there wandering. God is always ready to give you a simple hug to a big bear hug. Some days we just need him to listen, just because we know in our heart he can hear us.

God is there in that beautiful sunrise or sunset.

He is there on our cold days and warm summer days. He even lets us know that he is watching with those beautiful clouds. Some day just watch a dark cloud as the sun shines through, and God is reaching out to say hello.

When I came back to the wonderful state of Virginia with two children, I was welcomed into a friend’s home. Over the weekend she took us to her Christian church. When they got to the part about welcoming God into our lives I got a big bear hug and heard a tiny, quiet voice that said welcome home. After many minutes of crying, I knew who was welcoming me home and who gave me that hug.

Even today some twenty years later, I still look to the sky to say hello and thank you for welcoming me home. This is how over the last twenty years I have learned to be still and hear his voice. At the red light or the green light when I am running a bit late, his direction is always there. So as you see that red or green light today remember God is in control. When that driver is front is going a bit slow and you really want to go a bit faster, remember who is in control giving you safe travel. Always remember God has a reason for that slow driver. God’s reason may not flash out like that red light, it may be as simple as you need to slow down and breathe because you never know who or what is in front that slow car.

Twenty years ago, I knew God was in my life, but not like this. I never stopped to listen and was always rushing around. Now I try to stop and see the beauty of a smile from a stranger, or just the beauty of the day. And if one person shared a smile as they read this, God was directing this keyboard.

So from me to you, I hope you can see God is always in control. He is there in your life to help, listen, hear, comfort, and so much more. Just crack that window today and say hello.

I very much enjoyed your writing. You are so right. I have had to learn this truth through some very hard lessons. God is in control. It does me good to read stories written by Christians and I appreciate you taking time to share your thoughts. Detra
