My friend who is a male said he had a bizarre dream with me in it and has mentioned it twice to me like it haunted him, so I asked what it was, this is what he said …
He said it was like a “Hotel California” dream. I guess it was kind-of foggy and I was at the Hotel California (just like the song), and I was wearing all black. (Play the words in your head if you can.) He said he couldn’t get away from me or there so he started violently stabbing me to death. It really bothered him and when he told me, it bothered me too. Here’s our story. We’ve been friends (strange ones at that) for six months now. We slept together the first month we met and have never been together like that since but have become companions, protective of each other, enjoy one another’s company, share secrets, and we do snuggle and sleep together almost always. When I say sleep together, we sleep. Sometimes snuggle or spoon, sometimes don’t even touch. We both have our secret separate lives with others but do not talk about it. It’s weird, but we have a closeness and a bond of our own. So, his dream about me was a week ago and I don’t understand … can anyone tell me what you think his dream meant???? I don’t know if it’s bad about me and he can’t say it to me or if it’s good and he still can’t say his feelings to me. PLEASE HELP. I’m hurt and confused. I know he knows I fell in love with him, but I keep that very distant. ANYONE!!!

I think that the relationship you currently have with this person is painful for him. He may want more and be afraid that you will not want a deeper relationship with him. Please be honest about your feelings for him. If you are rejected and the relationship ends it will be best for both of you, it will allow you both to find love with others. The limbo that you are now in is painful to him! BUT, you may find that he too loves you, and is only killing you in the dream because of the pain of being so close to you but not having you for himself.
At least two ways to look at this dream: as a comment on the relationship and a comment on your friend's personal inner state. Often inner matches outer anyway so both are true. That said, it's almost a sure bet he's picked up on the fact that you're in love with him even though you say you keep that very distant. Do yourself a huge favor, tell him how you feel then give him tons of space. He may love your company but not be in love hence the "can't get away from me" quality. Also, you may represent something already alive in his psyche that he can't get away from and threatens to overwhelm him a feminine, relational aspect that he's not quite comfortable with. If that's so, you cannot help him with it as you ARE it - he's projected it onto you. Again, the response is honesty, consciousness and lots of space -
