Sweet Dreams

By: Barbara Stanley (View Profile)

Our dreams reveal a lot about us. Some dreams are just a way for our brains to filter out the garbage that will never benefit us. Some dreams are wild and crazy because our lives are like that at times. Not every dream will be beneficial to your waking life. Sometimes it feels good to share those dreams with someone we are close to so we can all have a good laugh.

By listening closely to the descriptions of your child’s nightmares, you can determine the root cause and help them resolve problems in their real lives. They may be trying to deal with bullies, failing grades, a teacher who is abusive in some way, or dealing with feelings that are new and frightening.

In the end, things may not “always come out in the wash,” but they do always come out through our dreams. Sweet dreams, everyone.
