I had a dream last might that I came home from work and there was a fire in my home. The only thing was that there was no fire damage to my home just my husbands and my possessions. We have been going down a very rocky road lately. There were two things of ours that made it through the fire, one was our bed and the other was a figurine that he gave me “queen of my heart.” None of our children’s items were gone just ours. I am having a hard time understanding what this means. Please assist.

What does fire represent to you? Energy? Light? Heat? Anger? Fever, infection? Transformation - as in transforming what is burned from one form to another and the energy that accompanies that transformation? All of the above? Dreams can and do comment on several aspects of our lives and relationships at the same time. Since the fire consumed yours and your husband's belongings and nothing else, does the dream comment on something about material things? On another level, often when there is a fire in the "house, " physical illness may be present. Anything going on there? Where is the heat in your relationship? Where is the light?
