Last week we went on vacation to the mountains. It was a very nice trip. The only thing that I didn’t like about it was my nightmares. I had a nightmare every night last week and woke up very cold and had to get up and turn heat on every night. In my dream, I was riding in the car with my husband and some more people and talking on the phone to my dad. I said something to him and he couldn’t comprehend it. He asked me, “Debbie, have you gone home to be with the Lord?” When I woke up, I told my husband. He said, “It’s just a dream.”
The next night, I dreamed of my grandmother, Elsie, my dad’s mother. She has been deceased about eight years. I dreamed she was in the hospital and I went to visit her. When I went in, the bed was made and empty. I asked the patient in the other bed, “where is grandma?” She called the nurse in. Nobody would tell me anything. I assumed she had passed because she was very bad. The scene changed. I suddenly saw her sitting on the bed and she was very young. She was smoking a cigarette. She asked me where Shelby was? That’s my dad! I said he just got in town and he hasn’t had a chance to visit yet. She was just talking and talking and happy. Suddenly, she started to fade. Very slowly, but continuous. People were coming in like it was a wake and were wearing black and wiping their eyes and standing around talking and grieving. It appeared I was the only one who could see Grandma. I was going to tell her not to be smoking cigarettes in Heaven, but I heard some screaming sounds coming out of the wall and she suddenly disappeared. I woke up. I was so cold. I didn’t want to get out from under the covers to turn on the heater. My son and husband were sleeping soundly. They weren’t cold at all. Every morning when they got up they were sweating it was so hot in there. I, on the other hand, could not get comfortable at all. Cold or hot! So peculiar! I wonder what these dreams meant. I am happy to be back at home now. Last night, our first night back here, I didn’t have any problem sleeping. No nightmares! Everything is fine … maybe I was worried about my family. I don’t know …

Very interesting article. I have nightmares about past experiences, also. They make wake-up tired, stiff and sore. It is as if I've been ran through the mill.
