Are There Really Such Things as Coincidences

Some people say they sense danger or when something bad is going to happen. I found that when I was growing up there were different things that would occur. I wouldn’t really think much of it. I remember starting at a new school and saying to myself, I have done theses things before. I would be in a group of new friends, and for some reason I knew exactly what they were going to say before they said it. I remember being at a friend’s house out on the deck and when I came in I looked directly at the micro-wave and the time was 11:11 and I said, oh, an angel just flew over. This was a place where I had never been before. I wondered afterwards why I said that.

As I grew into an adult things out of the ordinary still happened. My son was sixteen and had just gotten a new car; he and some friends were going to go for a drive. He left and said he wouldn’t be long about an hour later the phone rang and before anyone spoke, I said are you all right and my son said yes mom we hit some black ice and rolled into the ditch but everyone is ok. It didn’t occur to me later how did I know he was on the other line. The next incident also involved my son. The previous night I had a nightmare that my son had drowned, it really frightened me.

The next day I called my mom and said to her I had an awful dream last night, she said so did I, and I asked her what did she dream and she said that she had a dream that my son had drowned. I felt that this was definitely an intervention from a higher power. There was another time I had this reoccurring dream, about an apartment and the images in the dream were very vivid. A few days later I was checking apartments out and there was an ad for exactly the same one I seen in my dream. I told my mom and she said I should go see about it, but for some reason I felt scared.

The most important thing to happen was getting reunited with the man who is now my husband. He and I had been friends for about twenty years and whenever he would ask me out I would be involved in a relationship, and when I was free he was with someone.
