Terrible Dream

By: Nick Nick (View Profile)

I had a dream that I was getting my little brothers and sisters ready for bed (and it seemed as though I was putting them to bed on the couch, but it was outside of the house—not inside). A dark shadow slowly walked in the midst of the bushes in our yard. No one else saw this shadow but me. Then I remember going upstairs—getting myself ready for bed, I heard my little brother yell out to me saying, “Come help Natalie, that’s my older sister,” that she was in her room and needs help. They kept pounding on my sister’s door, so she can open it. I looked through the peep hole of my sister’s room and saw that she was having what seemed liked a seizure her eyes rolling to the back of her head and both her hands around her baby. My sister choked her baby to death. The child was dead in her hands. NO matter what I did I couldn’t get the door open and my sister was still having the seizure. I woke up at 1:24 am this morning and told my husband about the dream. I cry as I think about it because it is so vivid to me—it’s like it was really happening—IT WAS REAL TO ME!

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN! I’M SCARED ...

Nick Nick, I just watched a show on Discovery Health about interpreting dreams. Based on what I learned from that, I would say that your sister is really a representation of you in that room. No one can get to you, so maybe you feel helpless about a situation in your life. The dead child in her hands may represent a failure you couldn't control or the loss of some part of your life that was very important to you. All the stuff about getting ready may represent part of this unfulfillment in your life; perhaps you feel like no matter what you do, you can't change the outcome of your life. Because this dream was so vivid for you, I think it definitely should signal you to reflect on just what it is that is bothering you in your life. Hope this helps :)
