I have wondered over the years if I have an ability to interpret life thru my dreams. The only thing is, my dreams were always about my husband and always turned out to be something happening to him.
My dreams began several years ago and were always the same thing. He would be leaving me. Each dream would be different and yet the same. I would wake with such a feeling of loss that the feeling would stay with me for hours!
In my dreams he would be leaving me for another woman or just leaving me. When I would repeat the dreams to him he would of course say he was not leaving me for another woman or leaving me at all. It was strange because even though the dreams were of him leaving me for another woman I knew that wasn’t what they meant.
As time went on the dreams would come and go. Sometimes I would have them for weeks then not again for months or years. I began to watch them and suddenly one day I realized that when I began to have these dreams he would either end up in the hospital or sick and then the dreams would stop for the time being. When they started again he would eventually become ill again.
The last time they started he ended up having colon cancer. He was in the hospital four months before he passed away the 25th of January 2008.
During his hospital stay I did not have dreams of him until two weeks before he passed. That dream was of him in a car and he was in the back seat with someone else driving (who I do not know), I asked where he was going and smiling he said, “Home.”
I interpreted this dream to mean he was going to get better and come home. I was wrong. I think this dream was sent to me to let me know he was going home but home to his heavenly father and that was why he was happy and smiling in the dream.
