Oh, it’s the summer travel season. And, traveling with the family—especially small children—could leave you having to remind yourself that, temper tantrums and arguments aside, this IS a vacation!
Laura Roe Stevens, parenting editor at Divine Caroline, travels frequently between the US and Europe frequently with her five year old, so she’s a pro at getting thru the airport with as few delays as possible. In my conversation with Laura, she also shared ideas for getting along on a family road trip.
“With kids you need to remember, that stuff happens. Keep your cool and expect a little bit of madness and try to keep your sense of humor. Because you will only remember the great times ... But along the way you’ll have the temper tantrums in the back and the siblings hitting each other.”
