9. A few adhesive bandage strips and some antibiotic cream for minor cuts and scrapes that can occur during outdoor activities or paper cuts.

10. I carry a travel pouch with essential cards, cash, and ID and pack my purse with all the other stuff in my suitcase. I don’t leave anything valuable in the purse. It makes for less bulk to carry around.

I also have made up a handy little check list in Excel that I can use to check off items I pack so I don’t forget something.

The most important thing in traveling is to know there are going to be delays and snafus, but getting upset and worried won’t change anything, so be patient, let people do their jobs, and smile.
