Working on Mexican Time

By: Amanda Coggin (View Profile)

There were the typical “couple” moments from spending every hour of the day together. At times, we needed our space. Especially when I transitioned from editing to creative mode, I really needed the alone time. So while he went and emailed in the morning, I’d have the room to myself to create. And after a nice homemade Mexican lunch in our kitchenette, he worked in the afternoon, while I went to shoot photographs of sailboats, children, and fruit carts during the golden hour. We were doing it. We were working on Mexican time. And as we drove further south and then back up, for five more weeks, we always managed to find what we needed: the charming hotel, near some internet, with some room to work, and a stone’s throw from the ocean.
