Paying more money than the average Joe can get you ahead in ski and traffic lines, and now, security lines. A new system called the Clear Card allows airline passengers to pay about one hundred dollars a year to bypass waiting in airport security lines. Participants must go through a security pre-screening process, which includes fingerprinting, background information, and iris scanning. Does this let those with disposable income get ahead—literally? And would you feel comfortable handing over biometric information to a private company?

I say "first come first served" seems only fair. Even if I had the money, I wouldn't give security firms my information period.

No different that the coach/business class injustice if you ask me. At least this way I'll know the people zipping past me on line, hanging out in the VIP lounge area, and sitting up front on the plane getting all the cushy service are being watched...really carefully

It doesn't matter to me, one way or another. I don't fly anymore. My preferred travel is train, bus and ship. I like old fashion train depots and bus stations. Airports have just gotten too damn big!

I think it let's people with money get ahead, but I don't really care. Anything to shorten the damn lines. If I had the money, I sure enough would give my biometric info out. They have all my info, already, anyhoo.
