One of the most anticipated events during New York’s Fall Fashion Week is the annual Red Dress Collection fashion show featuring celebs wearing designer red dresses in an effort to raise awareness about the number one killer of women, heart disease. The collection is part of a larger initiative called The Heart Truth Campaign, a national awareness campaign that warns women about the risks of heart disease and inspires them to take action to lower it.
The Take Aways: Heart disease is the number one killer of women and it’s something we can help prevent by proper exercise and diet. Also, the Heart Truth Fashion Show is the only time during Fashion Week that you will see real women (Sara Ramirez- Callie from Grey’s Anatomy, Rita Moreno, Liza Minnelli, Camryn Manheim) working the catwalk.
