Sometimes I still don a blazer and pull my hair in a bun for meetings, but the thing that keeps me from looking like a librarian with fourteen cats is that I keep my accessories totally off-leash. Earrings with gemstones tumbling out of my ears or Japanese pleated scarves make everything a little more light-hearted.

Basically, if I were Melanie Griffith in Working Girl, I would have slipped into the gray suit, worn a silky black blouse under it, and kept the bangles on.
