A friend just recommended a new hair salon but when I asked about her hair she said she doesn’t really like it. This is no reflection on the salon she just never loves her hair. Funny thing is, I get it. I never love my hair either. It’s not that I don’t love myself (I do!), it’s just my hair is unpredictable and rebellious, and I find myself thinking that far away heads are fairer. Are you happy with the head of hair you were given?

Sure I love my hair! I would love to see what it looks like on someone else lol:)
As a little girl I loved my hair and even more as a teenager when I was allowed to do with it what I wanted, like color it, cut it and relax it ( I have very curly hair). Then after having children and the damage I'd done to it in my earlier years started to show, I hated it. But now, after going back to my natural texture and learning to style it properly and what products to use, I again love it. I can go curly or straight and keep it damage free. I do however struggle with the appropriate length for my face and age. My style is different with each season, but love it none the less!
My hair is perfect. It's the non-frizzy, long, thick, shiny, slightly wavy look that is so popular right now. I wash and go. Curl it, it stays set. Straighten it, it stays set. My whole life people have said I should be in shampoo commercials.
Other than my hair, my life is a mess!

I love the Miracle Fabric, also, coined by Sarah. At least my head is covered in this fabric. Elsewhere it is thin wimpy and going white. No wonder coloring is being done everywhere on the body now.

This is hysterical. I love that Sarah calls it a miracle fabric...and I've never really worried about the bad haircuts because, after all, they will grow out. I've always been told I have great hair so rather than hate what I have I've gone with what the hairstylists said. Looking at photos, yes, I hate my hair. I look ridiculous due to the volume of it. Luckily, I whacked it all off several months ago and I'm rather fuzzy headed now and most happy.

Aw come on, hair's a miracle fabric, seems no matter what we do with it, how much we abuse it, it just keeps on coming back

I am now at the point where I love my hair, after years of fighting with it. I have very curly hair that I got endlessly teased about when I moved to the States (and my Dad wondered why I hate Westport, CT, but that's another story) but with the advent of really good products for curly hair I can go curly or straight and I learned to love what I have. I'm currently straight haired and loving it, after 10 years of curly and loving it. Now however, I am at the age where all of me is heading south so fast I expect my boobs to hit Antarctica any day and really give the penguins a scare! It's always something...

Some days I'm happier with my hair than others. Hair, although dead as soon as it grows out of my scalp, has a mind of its own. Usually my hair is never rebellious, just limp(when it needs color) or bulbous( fat- when a haircut is needed). I have grown accustomed to my hair. I think we have hair that grows and changes to remind us that we are not static creatures. We are always changing! Rejoice in that fact. We not only change our makeup we can change our hair.
Be happy, I can help you, I think. Rebellious hair may point to the fact that your hair may not be conditioned enough. If your hair is really, really curly you will need to use a little heavier conditioner only on your ends(not the scalp) and only RINSE FOR 8 SECONDS. Then apply 4 drops of serum on the ends after towel drying your hair, then 3 drops before flat ironing your hair and 2 more after styling is done. Try this and those of us with not so curly hair use a lighter conditioner with the same steps. I'll check back.

I have to say that I like my hair. It's extremely easy (I never blow dry it, never comb it except when it's wet and I've just gotten out of the shower) and pony-tail friendly. I do empathize with the lack of good haircuts, however. Even though I like my hair, it seems a bit boring, and no matter where I get my hair cut, or what cool and trendy things I do to it, it always looks the same. And that is disappointing.

I think my hair and I have a love-hate relationship. As do my tummy and I, my skin and I, and a lot of my physical attributes. I recently had a hair-cut in India where one side was about three inches shorter than the other side. I am just now, six months later, fully recovered. I also had a haircut in a uber-hip salon and walked out with a do I call the "T-Boz." Just remember TLC in their hey-day. My friends alternative healer friend said you have to manifest good things about your physical appearance. On that note, I will try to wake up every morning and say, "I love you hair. I love you skin. I love you tummy." Yeah. Yeah Right.
