Girls with Curls at SAG

If you saw any of the red carpet coverage from the SAG Awards, it was hard to miss all the gorgeous, loose curls. From Angelina Jolie to Ashley Tisdale to Brittany Snow, long, flowing locks were a hot look on the red carpet. Here’s SheSez’s celebrity hair stylist, Enzo, on how to achieve this sexy look yourself:

Wash your hair. When hair is half dry, put a small amount of Bumble & Bumble Prep on your hands and apply throughout hair. Next put a small amount of another product, Bumble and Bumble Straight, on the ends of hair. Blow dry hair with round brush. The most important thing here is to get your hair shiny and silky.

While the hair is still warm, roll up medium sections on large Velcro rollers. The size I like is typically red in color and about 2-1/2 inches round. When hair cools after about fifteen minutes, pull out rollers and flip your head upside down, running your fingers thru the hair. Go right side up and blow dry the roots—on “hot”. You want to put the blow dryer close to the scalp and lift the hair at the root.  

Put some spray on your hands and run your fingers thru hair. You are essentially trying to make the hair piecy with your hands and you are smoothing any flyaway hairs.

Then for the finishing touch, you can use a curling or flat iron to smooth or refine curl.
