Mixing High and Low

“I didn’t know any better at that time that it’s not how much you pay; it’s the quality of the item. I think I finally got over that my first year out of high school,” Hall said, who is now in her early thirties. These days, charity store shopping has become so enjoyable for Hall that it’s almost like an addiction. “When you go in sometimes, you’re actually complaining that something is two dollars,” she said. In the fast food-like culture of fashion, Hall has two key pieces of advice for novices wishing to experiment in the realm where thrift meets fine design. First, when your personal style is at stake, make second hand stores your first stop. Secondly, don’t think you’re going to walk into a charity store or second hand shop and find something right away, because gems aren’t easy to find. After all, high fashion is hard work.

I love thrift store shopping too. They are one of my favorite places to shop for clothes because you can find really great one of a kind vintage items that you won't find anywhere else, plus its sooo cheap! Most of my favorite items of clothing I have bought while thrift store shopping.
