Each month Ad Femme Members & Readers submit their favorite tips and quotes. These tips are published in our weekly newsletter and on AdFemme.com (Tips & Hot Topics tab). Here are the tips and quotes submitted in December:

Amber Paul from HydraMedia says: “Everyone gets so busy in this industry but it is really important to remember to have great customer service and communication skills.  Being non responsive and constantly telling yourself you don’t have time for this and that will only lead to a downward spiral.  I had a former director tell me that you need to treat every customer as if they are your only one, and this is 100% true.  Standing out and being responsive to your clients will set you apart from the rest and open doors to referrals and other great opportunities.”

Julie Tripi from EuroSCG says: “Be positive - living a satisfied life is one of the defining challenges of our life, and it is a challenge best met with optimism!”

Lindsay Mure, President of AdFemme.com says: “In this crazy busy time of year it is important to celebrate your hard work, and do something nice for yourself daily. Rewarding yourself DAILY will make those 15 hour days fly by!”

Tanya Alvarez, President of ConnectingMoms.com & BlinkAds, says: – “Align yourself with other women who can help you move your business forward. Femme power!”

Devon O’Donnell from Digitas says: “The holidays can bring in a lot of different vendor presents, especially gift baskets. Rather than gaining 5 pounds, bring it to a meeting, or leave some of the treats for members on other that don’t usually get gifts from vendors. Better yet, give it to someone who is homeless—you walk by homeless people daily on your commute to work. It may mean more to someone else!”

Debby Weiss from OriginData says: “Remember to give back during the holidays, there is always someone who is very appreciative of what you have to offer.”

Maria Coletta from IdealExposure says: “The Ho-Ho Hum of the Holidays! Christmas was fun growing up. I looked forward to time away from school; time with the family, skiing up north… life was grand. All grown up with a mortgage to pay, it's not so simple anymore. The internet space is SO bloody moody. Whenever there is any holiday around the corner, tons of folks seem to take off for days before & after what should normally be a one-day holiday.

All great advice! I especially like the suggestion to remain positive, for optimism truly helps in overcoming life's many unpredictable challenges!
