Are Real Estate Agents being accountable to Sellers? This Spring will bring an interesting Real Estate Market for sellers because the popular press is full of speculation that we are in a “Housing Bubble”; that is about to burst. I don’t know about you – I have learned the number one way to create certainty in my life is not to have the luxury of a negative thought. That doesn’t mean I live in la la land. It means my belief is that as a professional listing agent, I have never laid blame on the market conditions for failing to meet client deliverables.

What must hold true is the understanding that it’s not a buyers market, it’s not a sellers market, it’s “THE REAL ESTATE MARKET.” In addition, there is a need for change in the fundamental thinking of the notion of a bubble, the bubble what is the bubble? Are we in it now, next week or next year? How is the term truly defined? In terms of people’s thinking, their expectations, their theories about the risk of falling prices, their worries about being out of the market as a buyer who does not buy? These are really great questions that can change focus and can be used so each consumer can have their own real estate experience.

The secret to fulfillment in life is certainty. More certainty means more time and more time is not a result of changing your schedule, it comes from changing your level of fulfillment. Time is not money today; time is everything! The ability to eliminate or avoid stress comes from the ability to create and increase the certainty in your life.

If you’re like most people you clearly understand the real estate market is not something you can control. However it is something you and the listing agent you select can influence. Once you influence something you can control it, and then the listing agent you select should be able to, like second nature, tap into the power of leverage for you. After all isn’t this what a professional does?
