Solitude

By: Leo Shelton (View Profile)

With my head in the clouds
Because I placed it there,
To look in your eyes
And plant kisses on your forehead
And be taken by your smile
And pulled in by my own desire
To be, right there, with you
But alone
Standing still
With your body and mind
Near mine
Close to heaven
But living in hell
Standing still
Secluded
In my own foolish
Self-centered
And splendid
Solitude
