Ninety-One

I cling to you in my helplessness,
Pining for deliverance from my faults
And from my weaknesses.

I acknowledge your greatness,
And despite my failings,
You elevate me with those whom you honor,
And with those who honor you.

I call your name,
It sears my heart with love and wisdom.
My impatient ears await your response.

Distress weighs me,
A heavy burden for my feeble being.
Yet, you are near me,
In silence I sense your presence,
Comforting me,
Strengthening me,
Glorifying your lost sheep.

My days are numbered,
But in your abundance you grant me more,
And in a moment,
The blind see,
The deaf hear,
A heart is opened
And in an epiphany,
I understand the mystery
Of your passion!
