All the Marvels of Love

By: Caroline Baron (View Profile)

All the marvels*

Of love, all its tonalities, nuances and *

Multiplicities poured out as for a feast*

And they reveled for their joy was vast,

They invited the gods to participate,

Dionysius filled their goblets with his

Incomparable wines, Apollo played the

Most dulcet notes upon his lyre, the Muses

And the Graces made fragrant flower

Garlands, which they festooned on

Everyone while dancing gaily round,

And Aphrodite crowned the lovely

Pair, with red rose buds, the symbol of

Passion, all heralded the great gift of love
