The Turtle: A Play in Two Acts

By: Richela Fabian Morgan (View Profile)

Mommy: “You didn’t ask.” (Gives him a look.) “What’s wrong with you?”

Daddy: “Nothing. So if you’ll excuse me, I’m just going to take that turtle, dance with it, throw it against the wall, glue it back together, and then hide it from all of you.”

[Daddy grabs the turtle and walks out of the room.]

Mommy (turning to kids): “What did you do now?”

[Kids smile sweetly and say nothing.]
