New father and singer Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers recently told People Magazine that the best thing he could do for his three-month-old son, Everly Bear, was improve his surfing skills in 2008:
“My goal for the year is to get better at surfing, which I think will make me a better father,” the Red Hot Chili Peppers front man, forty-five, told People Tuesday.
Also in the name of becoming a better parent, over the next 12 months Kiedis plans to extend his sock-glove wardrobe by at least 15 pairs of sock-gloves, write a song that references the state of California over 100 times, and publish his forthcoming chapbook of poetry, tentatively titled Ramma Lamma Ding Dong: Kiedis In Verse.
Perhaps most excitingly, Kiedis has hinted that he and mama, model Heather Christie, may soon be planning a sibling for little Everly Bear. A source close to the couple confirms that they already have names picked out: Doobie Squirrel if it’s another boy, and Righteous Ocelot if it’s a girl.
