Actually TJ, I know for a fact that at least one of those is NOT a fake. Calvary Baptist Church is in Slidell, Louisiana. I happen to live in Slidell and pass by it frequently. One of the ladies I work with has a son that goes to Calvary Baptist School. So no, they are not all fake. (But that's not to say that some of the others are not.)
could be just me, but those "loose tongue" kind of messages sound vaguely like some of the WWII propaganda posters I've seen about keeping your mouth shut, because you never know who's listening. Could be me, just mis-interpreting the message, but not a very direct or convincing argument to go to church...the last thing I'd want to associate a loving, welcoming religious experience with is shady politics, war, etc.

I liked these.. I saw a church sign while driving that said "Do you have room for Jesus?" and all I could think was "no thanks, I'm full!" I know, its irreverant, but it was so much like the slogan "there's always room for Jell-o". Couldn't help myself!
I always get a kick out of these. There is a local church in my neighborhood that has clever slogans on their sign. I make a point to go by there at least once a week to see what they have posted. Humor is always appreciated in all walks of life.
Those church signs have gotten pretty inventive and clever. Kinda funny too. I was wondering about the signs about loose and slippery lips; were both churches having a problems with gossips?
These signs might actually get me to attend one of these churches!
