I am disabled & alone. I spend many hours a day entering sweepstakes. I have won quite a few really nice items, a couple of trips & some things that I had no use for & gave away. You only have to pay taxes on items that cost more than $500.00. The two trip, one to LA & one to New Orleans were the only things I had to pay tax on. I've won blenders, juicers, coffee makers, jewelry, candles, collectibles & many other nice items. It is really fun to see what UPS will bring next. Be careful though. I never enter contests in which I have to pay a fee, subscribe to something, host an event, give personal info such as SS#, driver's license number or credit card info. I also don't enter contests in which I have to fill out survey's. For the most part they are long & tedious & not worth the effort. only enter contests that I recognize the company, brand, etc. It is fun but it can be time consuming & you really need to be careful about the info you give out. You can & will win with time & effort
