I was up in Nova Scotia for a long weekend away. I knew no one; I’d chosen the spot because a Celtic Music Festival was being held here on the same weekend that I could get a great airfare. This was taken on the first night of the festival, at the opening gala, where a pale blond Dane strummed quickly at a much-loved fiddle, and toes tapped across the island. Even my camera shutter was incapable of keeping up with the speed of his bow. From the front row of a massive hall, I snapped quickly. Later, I played with color to emphasize his paleness, and the bright vibrancy of his song.
