I have drawn myself many times, but previously I always used pictures or mirrors to aid me. To challenge myself, I tried drawing a self-portrait without any visual cues whatsoever. To further increase the difficulty of the challenge, I used pens instead of pencils. I thought the picture turned out pretty cool, and I was surprised that in the end, the picture did in fact resemble me … despite the cartoon appearance.
