“Hell is a circle about the unbelieving.”
-The Koran
“Our own heart and not other man’s opinions, forms our true honor.”
-Samuel Taylor Coleridge
These are two statements that I have understood in the most intimate way and much of my writing and living has included the sentiment instilled in these quotes. My journey of the road less traveled has not ended, and is still very much about how I moved from the non believer to an assertive, opinionated individual who rubs people the wrong way.
It feels almost unconscious that there is something in my personality that gets on people’s nerves, but more than that makes them jumpy.
I don’t think I have cracked the art of communicating on a one to one basis. I am way too funny and have this really annoying way of disarming with humor. Yes, I can hear you say very good, but no! It wears thin after a while and then they see right through me and the knives are out. I, on the other hand have by that time lost interest and have no real depth.
It mainly has to do with my attitude, which does not believe in other peoples opinions on anything that has to do with scoring points and criticizing. I try to show some other type of communication such as the site I have found here, Divine Caroline, through another writer who sited the Hello Love Project Web site. I really enjoy people being proactive in their spiritual quest to bring some differing energies into the world.
I believe it would help all the unique individuals who know that positivity works on so many different levels. Those same individuals have experienced great lows but refused to give in to the negativity. They understand the difference, actively choose to be positive, and try a different approach through kindness, love, and acceptance.
