Seda, who helped put together the congressional resolutions to condemn the violence in Kenya, is now organizing a conference within the week on promoting nonviolence in Kenya. He said Kenyans in the United States are starting to be divided by the events in their home country, and he wants to focus energy on bringing peace.
For now, Seda hopes that ex-UN chief Kofi Annan is able to reconcile the warring parties.
“The people have to see that their votes mean something,” he said.
