If I Became President

By: Sherrolyn Mincey (Little_personView Profile)

If I became President of the United States, the first thing I would do is to make sure the citizens of the United States are given health care, food, and a place to live. I would not worry so much about the rest of the world being more like America until such time as we were able to clean up our own problems.

I would strive to get all Americans to work together for the betterment of the US. Jobs are plentiful if we are willing to work at them. No one is too good to do any kind of honest labor in order to survive and improve themselves.

I would work to get GOD back into our lives and country.

I definitely would bring home our troops from Iraq and Pakistan. The Iraqi’s need to be given a deadline for getting their country straightened out. We could tell them, “You have until January 1, 2008 to get your government in order, then we are going to start moving our soldiers out and bring them home. You can learn to live together or continue to fight to the death. Eventually one of you will win and take over. Now is the time to decide how you want to survive and live. You can continue to live like you have as desert gypsies for the remainder of your lives, moving from place to place and living in tents or you can accept responsibility and build a better world for your people.”

The Afghanistan people should be told the same thing. If they want Bin Laden to tell them what to do, then let it be. But warn him and his people that if he strays to another country and causes any trouble, they will be obliterated.

We worry too much about civil rights of the perpetrator and not the victim. If a person harms or kills a child, they would be punished. Enough of this temporary insanity stuff. If a man rapes a child under the age of consent (say thirteen), then he should be castrated. If a woman or man kills a child, then they should die. Small children do not seduce men or women and are incapable of causing problems so bad they deserve to die.

You would strive to get all Americans to work together for the betterment of the U.S.? Define betterment. What exactly do you consider "better" ?There is an old saying:"A fool's paradise is a wise man's hell." Or something like that.Better and good are vague. What is good to one may be horrid to another.Who defines good and bad ?GOD ? Not everyone believes in GOD.Do we infringe on other's rights to enforce ours ?
