Embarrassed Yourself at an Office Holiday Party?

I ended up at a strip club with my boss, then continued back to the office and had sex with him on the CEO's desk. It was an awkward year afterwards.

When I was 22 years old, my office was out for their annual Christmas party at a local restaurant. We were enjoying wine and carrying on having a really good time and I looked over into the next room and saw my dad and his office having their Christmas party. I did talk to my dad and we all waved when we left, but I thought to myself, " Geez, I can't get away with anything, Daddy's always watching."

Last night: I slapped one of my bosses ass multiple times, professed my undying love to each and every one of my co-workers, face planted in the street, and was refused entry to a bar. I woke up with flash-backs at 2am pretty damn certain I would be jobless and hung-over today. Fortunately, only the latter is true.

I failed...or perhaps I succeeded?

My boyfriend took my to the holiday party at his public accounting firm. I was fresh out of college attending my first "adult" party and the open bar was calling my name! I remember standing in a circle with his other co-workers and just losing grip of my cocktail and splashing everyone. I thought it was the funniest thing and my boyfriend told me it was time to go home. It set the tone for our relationship and I have embarrassed him many times since then. I guess he has forgiven me, though because he's since proposed and we've been married for 16 years!

I embarrass myself on a daily basis so why should an office Holiday party be any different. Actually, last year I held my head high on that Monday morning because I had not embarrassed myself, but my coworkers. We'd gone for Karaoke after our earlier festivities and while my coworkers were playing it safe with Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey, I blew everyone away with my very "lively" rendition of Eminem's "Lose Yourself." I thoroughly enjoyed my new nickname as the Irish Rapper in our Monday morning meeting!

I always have this year...

Well, our office parties were wild and uninhibited. Kind of hard to get embarassed amidst a free for all drunken orgy.

I can remember a few cringe-worthy moments. At one party, a boss' wife got really drunk and had a crying meltdown in the bathroom, talking to her husband's employees about their martial problems. Awkward.

I've embarrassed myself a million times in a million ways, but strangely, never at an office party.
