In this time of escalation and conflict, may this small, tangible act of acknowledgement rivet world attention and set forth a ripple effect. The rebuilding of a home in Gaza, the determination of a Palestinian family to live in their own home, to restore their neighborhood; the determination of an American family to find justice for their daughter and the people and values she stood to protect.
The opening of this home, Rachel’s home away from home, will focus the world’s attention on Gaza in a way that nothing else can. When the family opens the doors to move in, the whole world will be able to participate via teleconference. I hope you will join us.
