Wow, these are all tall orders. It’s not enough that we have to be responsible adults, employees, parents, children, etc., but we have to be responsible for our environment. We are now in the age of “GREEN” which is a good thing when you think about all the toxins that we breathe in every day. Can we really be responsible enough and actually make a difference for all that needs to be done to make the environment a safer and healthier place?
Yes we can. If everyone makes just a little effort, it will make a difference. If we start by recycling we can make a HUGE difference. Did you know that Americans use 2.5 million plastic bottles every hour, and most of them are thrown away? We use more than eighty billion aluminum cans every year.
What can we do with all these billions of items? Recycle! Right now, we can make a difference if we recycle our plastics and aluminum. Many towns across the country have recycling programs and that makes it easy for us to do our part. Our children learn by example, so let’s start filling up the recycle bin with the plastics and cans and we can all make a difference.
