Stiff is a fascinating book about what happens to us if we donate our bodies to science. Each chapter is chock full of different facts, anecdotes, and unmentionables. The author’s footnotes are among the best tidbits! Most of us got through the first five chapters just fine, but quickly tired of reading about dead bodies. The scientific minds in our group, however, LOVED it! Have you read it? Tell us what you thought!

I really enjoed this book! Every chapter had intersting information with humorous tid bits here and there. I hope readers realize the importance of organ donation, it saved my nephews life! I definitely recommend this book.

I enjoyed this book but was definitely one of the women that got tired of reading about dead bodies. However, it is facinating and it did make me realize that I'm quite comfortable donating my organs to science but not so interested in having my head worked on by soon-to-be plastic surgeons (Chapter 1). With that said, I agree that it is definitely an interesting read and recommend it.

This was a totally fun read for me, but not a book I'd go out and simply recommend to just anyone. The book is a collection of essays based on the author's individual research into the realms of the lives of corpses. There's fascinating information, but for me the real entertainment came from the author's personal voice which is filled with humor and humanness. Ultimately, this book raises the question of for the individual reader about her feelings about donating our bodies to science. I say yes, definitely worth reading--if you can handle a taste of the macabre.
