Celebrating Life

It is a very special day today. I am celebrating another year on earth. It is my birthday. People around the world celebrate birthdays in different ways. Some throw a big party with friends and family. Others, go somewhere; probably that special place we have always dream of. A few, hopefully, see this day just as any other day. For me, this one is really special.

Through the years we grow and learn. It takes a lifetime to get closer to who we truly are. That is my case. Today I celebrate in gratefulness for all my blessings and small miracles I have experienced through my life. When I look back, I realize that I have lived with no regrets, not for my good choices or the not so good. For me that makes the difference.

Living with no regrets means that we have learned to accept each choice as a lesson to be better and grow deeply as human beings. Today, at 43, I wake up with a smile on my face, giving thanks for all that surrounds me. I am grateful for everything life has given me; for my friends, my dog, my family, my house, and the nature that inspires me. I am grateful for doing what I feel as my passion. I am grateful for been here, sharing my thoughts and happiness with you all.

As I celebrate my birthday, I would like you to join me and celebrate your lives. It does not matter if it is not your birthday today. Every new day is a new beginning. With every rising sun, we come to life again, as newborns. Every day is a new opportunity to be better, to make wiser choices, to give and share with those we love and those who we consider perfect strangers. Lets take a look at our surroundings. Lets look at how magnificent our lives are. Lets count our blessings and see with open eyes how fortunate we are of been here at this moment in time.

Maybe, from now on, all of us will celebrate that special day in which the universe gave us a chance to live, in a different way. No, we are not getting older, but classic and wiser. May you all be blessed and celebrate life each and every day.
