Forbes just released its 100 Most Powerful Women list for 2007. On the top was Condoleezza Rice with Melissa Gates coming in at number ten. Nestled in between (next to Oprah, of course) were only chief executives and heads of state. This made me wonder—is a powerful woman noted only for the size of her 401k? Or is it the integrity that lies deep within her heart? In your opinion, what qualities does a “powerful” woman have?

There is great power in knowing how to ask for what you want, and knowing you are worthy of receiving it.
There is also great power in believing in what you do. Putting your heart & soul into it creates magic.

I love this question. To me, a powerful woman has independence, optimism, confidence, and sex appeal. Power is just another state of mind. If you think you are powerful, you are. F*ck the 401 K.

Balance, perspective, honesty, compassion, strength, desire to mentor, can see all sides to the coin, willing to take risks, less attachment to how things should be, more desire to recognize change is inevitable...and flow with it all.
