The Vast Plains of Life

By: Sue Zuercher (View Profile)

So this is life, just one vast plain

of mistakes and values to do over again

You win some you lose some

It’s all the luck of the draw

It’s de ja vu . . .  all what you saw

Some see things coming . . .

Others allege

I do what I wish

I live on the edge

Some live in daydreams

 they’re not truly real

Either dismiss the thought

 just do what you feel

Push to the limit

 whatever it cost

Follow your instinct

 and you won’t get lost

The decision is made

 the die has been cast

to follow my own way

 fully encompass my past

To make it work for the future

 and get off the fence

whatever I choose

 is my preference
