B-52

By: Mark Roddey (Little_personView Profile)

This is my version of a layered, sweet, delicious shooter … reminds me of an orange, chocolate center, Tootsie Roll Pop. Don’t down too many of these … they’ll hit you like a sh*tload of bricks!

Ingredients:

1 ounce Dark Crème de Cacao

1 ounce Bailey’s Irish Cream

1 ounce Grand Marnier

One 3-ounce shot glass (tall skinny kind)

Procedure:

1.  The trick of making a perfect layered shot, without having the liqueurs mix, is to slightly tilt the shot glass while slow pouring in the liqueurs, streaming ‘em down the side of the shot glass, decreasing tilt as volume increases.  Practice makes perfect, baby!

2.  I like layering the flavors in this order: 1. Bailey’s Irish Cream; 2. Dark Crème de Cacao; 3. Gran Marnier

3.  Every time I think of a B-52, I fondly remember my favorite La Brisa bartender, Regina … 5 foot 2, green eyes, brownish red hair, TNT in a petite, wild package. She was a master in the art of making the perfect B-52. She was a master of many things!
